On November 23rd, Andre Doshim Halaw, who is a Zen monk in Princeton and teacher in the Five Mountain Zen Order visited our sangha and gave the following Dharma Talk.
Andre teaches high school English and online courses at Buddha Dharma University, where he is also completing his doctoral degree in Buddhist Studies. Andre practiced for several years in two Japanese lineages, Harada-Yasutani and Soto, before finding his home in the Korean Five Mountain Zen Order.
In November 2012, Andre received inka (independent teaching authorization) from his teacher Zen Master Wonji Dharma.
